Dental Assistant - Per Diem

Job Overview

Provide per-diem dental assisting coverage when regular team members are absent or using paid time off. Support four-handed dentistry and related procedures, including impressions, placement and removal of rubber dams and dressings, endodontic assistance, oral radiography, patient education, infection-control practices, and accurate clinical documentation. Help the dental team maintain safe, efficient care and a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Dental Assistant certification
• Current Radiation Safety certification
• Current Basic Life Support certification that meets employer standards
• One year of dental assisting or related experience preferred
• Knowledge of dental terminology, full-scope dental procedures, and oral radiography
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications, eClinicalWorks, and Sidexis preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Arabic skills preferred
• Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Availability for per-diem coverage without a fixed recurring schedule
