Dental Assistant - Endodontics

Job Overview

Assist the endodontist during root canals, retreatments, apicoectomies, and other complex endodontic procedures. Prepare treatment rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and materials; capture digital X-rays using Dexis; support CBCT imaging using Carestream; and maintain patient records in PBS Endo. Explain procedures, help keep patients comfortable, follow strict infection-prevention practices, and provide light scheduling or front-office assistance when needed. The position is part-time, generally two to three days per week from approximately 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM.

Requirements

• Current dental X-ray certification
• Current infection-control certification
• Current CPR certification
• Dental assisting or endodontic assisting experience preferred
• Ability to provide chairside assistance during complex endodontic procedures
• Ability to prepare rooms and sterilize instruments, equipment, and materials
• Comfort with digital X-rays; Dexis experience preferred
• CBCT imaging experience with Carestream preferred
• Dental software or PBS Endo experience preferred
• New dental assistants may be considered; the practice may train the right candidate
• Availability for a part-time two-to-three-day weekly schedule
