Registered Dental Hygienist - Per Diem

Job Overview

Provide per-diem preventive dental hygiene care in a community-health setting. Assess oral and periodontal conditions, review medical histories, complete charting, identify and report areas of concern, capture digital radiographs and intraoral images, and document care accurately. Perform preventive and periodontal procedures such as prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, debridement, curettage, fluoride treatment, and sealant placement. Educate patients, maintain infection-control and regulatory standards, and support clinic and community dental-health education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current California Registered Dental Hygienist license
• National Provider Identifier or ability to obtain one before employment
• Current American Heart Association-approved Basic Life Support certification
• At least one year of dental hygienist experience
• Local-anesthesia certification preferred
• Federally Qualified Health Center experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
• Knowledge of periodontal therapy, preventive care, oral radiography, and clinical documentation
• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Availability to provide per-diem coverage
