Medical Assistant - General Medicine (Part-Time)

Job Overview

Provide part-time Medical Assistant support in general medicine. Prepare patients, collect intake information and vital signs, perform blood draws, administer vaccines and other permitted treatments, assist with nebulizer treatments, ear lavage and EKGs, provide approved education or resources, and keep exam rooms clean and stocked. Support providers with laboratory, imaging, screening, electronic health-record, telephone, email, and form-completion workflows. The posted 16-hour schedule is Monday through Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support certification that meets employer standards
• Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology
• Ability to perform blood draws and routine Medical Assistant clinical procedures within scope
• Electronic health record experience preferred
• Intermediate computer and accurate data-entry skills
• Ability to exercise judgment, flexibility, compassion, and cultural awareness
• Ability to multitask, protect confidential information, and work effectively with a team
• Bilingual English/Spanish, English/Farsi, or English/Arabic skills preferred
• Ability to lift approximately 15 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Availability for the posted evening and Saturday schedule
